NanoBase™, the Architecture.
Pensive Beauty® Nanoscience Labs, a cosmetic nanoscience laboratory in Seffner, Florida, manufactures NanoBase™, a cosmetic raw material: a tri-domain nano-colloidal Architecture with nanocolloidal, nanoliposomal and nanomicellar domains, designed to an electrostatic (DLVO) stabilisation specification rather than an HLB emulsifier target, engineered to a ~185 nm design target, DLS-characterised every batch, and used at 55-95% of leave-on cosmetic formulas that brands complete with standard cosmetic equipment.
NanoBase™ is the Architecture, not the finished product. The finished formula a brand builds on it is the delivery system. Composition is proprietary; the INCI listing, TDS, SDS and CoA are available on request to qualified accounts.
Nanocolloidal
An oil-core domain, where lipophilic actives and emollient oils are designed to sit.
Nanoliposomal
A phospholipid bilayer domain, where ingredients with both water-loving and oil-loving parts are designed to associate.
Nanomicellar
A surface-active domain for ingredients that sit at an interface or need solubilising.
The three domains are a design specification. They self-assemble from soluble, degradable components, not insoluble or biopersistent particles.

Free formula design
For qualifying new brands: your first formula designed on NanoBase™, with an 8 to 14 page executive summary. Bench development is quoted in writing before you commit.
Formulation services
Custom formulas built on NanoBase™, under NDA. You own the finished formula and its SOP once development is paid.
Characterisation and DLS
Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) characterisation, QC and bench work in our own nanoscience lab.
NanoBase™ supply
NanoBase™ supplied as a raw material to contract manufacturers and brands with their own production, with documents on every lot.
TDA Logic, defined by the lab in 2025.
TDA Logic (Tri-Domain Architecture logic) is the cosmetic formulation framework Pensive Beauty® Nanoscience Labs defined in 2025 for NanoBase™. It is a successor design logic to 1940s HLB. HLB selects an emulsifier to match an oil phase. TDA Logic places each ingredient in a domain of a fixed tri-domain Architecture, using its logP or logD at formula pH, its solubility and its charge.
TDA Logic is a cosmetic formulation framework. It is unrelated to medical devices or other products that use the letters TDA.

The certificate of completion is issued by Pensive Beauty® Nanoscience Labs. It is not an accredited qualification, licence or degree.
Characterised before it leaves the building.
Every batch of NanoBase™ is made to a written specification and checked in our own lab before it ships.
A boutique lab and a production floor.
Formulas start in a deliberately small nanoscience lab in Seffner, Florida, where each Architecture is engineered and characterised by hand. When a formula is ready, it moves to our own production floor, and batches made at volume are DLS-characterised the same way as bench batches.
Your finished product can be made by any qualified contract manufacturer on standard cosmetic equipment, and we can introduce you to one.

Who owns a formula the lab develops?
The brand does. The finished formula and its SOP belong to the brand once development is paid, under the lab's Terms. The composition of NanoBase™ itself stays confidential, and NanoBase™ is supplied by Pensive Beauty®.
