NanoBase™ Aroma
NanoBase™ Aroma - Nano Fragrance Delivery
Formulation Class:
Alcohol based tri domain nanocarrier base for fine fragrance, hybrid fragrance, and alcohol free perfume systems.
Primary Function:
Modern nanostructured fragrance base that forms a stable multi domain system capable of supporting volatile aromachemicals, naturals, and high oil loads with clarity, smoother evaporation curves, enhanced diffusion control, and extended wear without altering the creative identity of the fragrance.
Developed to stabilize top note volatiles, improve mid note continuity, and provide sustained aromatic presence on skin and fabric. The base pairs nanoscale lipid and silica domains with a clarity optimized alcohol phase to deliver expressive projection, controlled diffusion, and significantly improved longevity.
Technical Foundation:
NanoBase™ Aroma maintains a controlled nanostructured dispersion inside a stabilized hydroalcoholic phase. It contains three engineered functional domains that work in concert: a lipid based nanostructure domain, a hydrophobic silica fixation domain, and a polymer reinforced alcohol phase designed for aromatic solubility, clarity, and diffusion management.
Lipid nanostructure domain:
Ultra fine lipid based carriers that associate with top note volatiles. These structures help retain citruses, aldehydes, and other fast evaporating materials, supporting smoother transitions and reducing early note collapse.
Hydrophobic silica domain:
A functionalized silica based fixation network that provides controlled binding interactions for mid spectrum aromachemicals. This moderates diffusion, smooths the evaporation curve, and contributes to projection, dimensionality, and cleaner drydowns.
Stabilized alcohol phase:
A clarity optimized alcohol system reinforced with nonionic stabilizers and film forming polymers. This phase maintains transparency at elevated oil loads and improves compatibility with naturals that typically cause haze or separation in traditional alcohol bases.
Formulation Performance Observations:
• Produces stable, uniform, opalescent to milky nanostructured dispersions
• Maintains clarity at higher oil loads and with naturals prone to destabilizing ethanol systems
• Extends aromatic longevity with 2 to 3 times enhancement compared to standard alcohol bases
• Smooths the transition from top to mid notes and reduces harsh volatility spikes
• Supports expressive projection while preserving the fragrance’s intended character
• Compatible with both fine fragrance spray systems and hybrid alcohol free concepts
• Stable under temperature fluctuations, filling conditions, and typical fragrance handling
Formulation Compatibility:
Compatible with: fine fragrance compositions, aroma chemicals, natural aromatic materials, alcohol based fragrance systems, nonionic clarity stabilizers, polymeric film formers, and supportive co solvents.
Supports:
• Traditional fine fragrance
• Alcohol free and low alcohol perfume formats
• Hybrid fragrance and skincare crossover systems
• Perfume serums and high oil load mists
• Signature scents and brand defining compositions
Not compatible with: strong anionic surfactants, heavy electrolyte systems, oxidizing agents, or high water formulations without supporting co solubilizers.
Use Case Examples:
• Fine fragrance needing improved top note retention and extended wear
• Alcohol free fragrance requiring clarity and stability
• Naturals heavy compositions prone to haze or instability
• Hybrid fragrance and functional formats
• Rollerball, serum, and gel based fragrances
• Innovation teams developing next generation diffusion control systems
Method Highlights (from pilots):
Hydroalcoholic phase: alcohol with polymeric stabilizers followed by nonionic clarity agents and controlled water addition
Lipid domain: structured lipid components pre dispersed and nanosized for volatility support
Silica domain: functionalized silica components pre dispersed and integrated for controlled fixation
Final assembly: lipid domain incorporation followed by silica domain addition and final alcohol balancing for clarity and stability
Customization Notes:
Projection tuning: adjust fixation domain intensity for closer or more expansive diffusion
Longevity tuning: balance lipid domain strength for deeper or lighter fixation behavior
Clarity tuning: modify stabilizer to co solvent ratios for high oil compatibility
Naturals handling: incorporate naturals post assembly with gentle mixing for uniformity
Oil load flexibility: supports elevated oil loads when tuned for clarity
Drydown behavior: adjust polymeric reinforcement for smoother or crisper fade characteristics
Positioning Statement:
NanoBase™ Aroma is a tri-domain nanocarrier base that introduces true structural support to modern fragrance design. It stabilizes naturals, enhances top note presence, smooths evaporation movement, supports high oil loads with clarity, and extends wear without altering the creator’s artistic signature. Add your fragrance oil, blend, and build with confidence. The architectural foundation is already complete.
